DENSITY LAB
Purpose-
The purpose for this experiment was to comprehend better mass, density, and volume for our future and freshman year.
Problem-
We are attempting to find the volume, density and mass of: foam, plastic, wood, copper, lead, steel, stone, glass and aluminum.
Hypothesis-
My hypothesis is based on the most logical explanation for me to comprehend.
  1. foam
  2. wood
  3. aluminum
  4. plastic
  5. copper
  6. stone
  7. lead
  8. glass
  9. steel

Materials-Mr. C lend us some samples of the materials we needed to use. Which are: foam, wood, aluminum, plastic, copper, lead, glass, stone, steel, water, a scale, and a beaker.

Procedure- The steps on this experiment are to put the samples on the scale and measure the volume by the water displacement method. Then put the Result onto a chart.

Conclusion- I accept my hypothesis because I knew i wasn't going to be correct since most scientist hypothesis aren't always correct. The foam was the lightest, then it was wood, plastic, copper, glass, lead , aluminum, stone, and then steel. They go in order. Out of this i only got two correct. Which is quite disappointing. I was surprised by my results. But by doing this lab i am now able to find the volume, mass, and density on objects.
