NUCLEAR ENERGY

Electricity, we all use it right? (Well except the Amish.) There are a lot of things in electricity but this essay I will talk about a certain ingredient that’s in electricity… nuclear energy. What is Nuclear Energy you ask?
according to www.dictionary.com nuclear energy is “energy released by reactions within atomic nuclei, as in nuclear fission or fusion.” I much think of it as, energy that is taken out by things that happen in the “nuclear fission”. Nuclear energy is also known as atomic energy. It is the energy released by the changes in the nucleus of atoms. Nuclear energy has many uses such as the production of electrical power, explosion of nuclear weapons and also used for the treatment of medical conditions. Most of the energy in atoms comes from the nucleus.

To make Nuclear Energy is to make the nucleus let go of the energy kept inside. The energy released by the nucleus make large amounts of necit, the neat is used to make steam, and the steam can be used to generate electrical power. To make the energy there are nuclear reactors to produce and control the energy. The nuclear reactions are used kind of like a furnace but instead of burning fossil fuels. The reactor the uranium fissions, the nucleus is slit into two or more fragments as the nucleus slits it releases energy that is connected mostly into heat. The fission of one pound of uranium releases more, energy than the burning of 1,500 tons of coal. Nuclear reactions produce practices and that’s called nuclear tallation that have uses in medicine.
